Statement of remittance reporting
Managing payroll remittances can be complicated — but it doesn’t have to be. ADP Canada offers automated statement of remittance reports to help simplify your tax reporting and help your business with its compliance journey.
What is a statement of remittance report?
The statement of remittance report provides a detailed summary of statutory deductions remitted on your behalf to federal, provincial and/or territorial authorities. These reports verify, reconcile and balance your tax accounts throughout the year, and provide information necessary for completing required annual summaries.
ADP Canada remits statutory deductions for clients who have authorized us to do so. Previously, these reports were only available on request, but now they can be delivered to clients automatically for fast and easy service.

FAQS
What is a statement of remittance used for?
A statement of remittance is used to track and reconcile the statutory deductions and employer contributions your business submits to government authorities. It provides a detailed record of amounts remitted to the CRA and provincial or territorial agencies, helping you confirm payments, prepare annual summaries and meet payroll tax obligations.
What do I use to validate my remittances made to the CRA?
Use your statement of remittance reports alongside the official confirmation from the CRA. These reports allow you to cross-check payroll deductions against CRA records, ensuring the amounts remitted by your payroll provider match what the CRA received. Regular reconciliation of these reports is the best way to validate your payments and avoid discrepancies.
