Toronto, June 23, 2009 — ADP Canada, the country’s leading provider of integrated business solutions including payroll and HR administration, announced today that the Province of New Brunswick has joined ADP’s Third Party Remittance Program.
As part of ADP’s payroll services, the program enables ADP to automatically deduct and
remit third party payments from an employee’s pay cheque every payroll. With the inclusion of New Brunswick’s Family Support Orders Service, ADP can now remit family support payments and report back on the employee’s behalf, in all Canadian provinces.
“New Brunswick families and employers alike will see the benefits of this service,” said Janice MacLellan, Director of Industry Relations at ADP Canada. “Families will receive the money they need sooner, and employers can increase their productivity by delegating a time-consuming process to us.”
In the past, employers were required to administer these deductions to government agencies manually and create individual cheques and detailed reports every month. ADP’s third party remittance technology allows employers to automatically send multiple payroll deductions to various agencies, and reduces the remittance period from weeks to days, helping families receive support payments more quickly.
ADP offers the most expansive third party remittance program in Canada, with 22 institutional partners. With this new service expansion, ADP is now enabled to send family support payments electronically to most provincial and territorial jurisdictions, except Yukon and Nunavut.
“For almost a decade, we have worked with many provincial government agencies to deliver payments on behalf of our clients, and we’re pleased that New Brunswick is now ready to join,” said MacLellan.
